On the Barrelhouse screen
These are the games Barrelhouse puts up on the big screen with the sound on — the full watch-party treatment, with Five Wits Brewing pouring beer and serving tacos and smash burgers on-site. The Saturday, June 27 double-header — Panama vs England at 5 PM, then Colombia vs Portugal at 7:30 PM — is the group-stage centerpiece.
The whole knockout run
Barrelhouse stays on the bracket all the way down — the Round of 32, Round of 16, a quarterfinal, both semifinals, the third-place match and the final on July 19, all on the big screen. Teams fill in as the group stage finishes, but the slots are set.
A few weekend games are weather-dependent — if it rains, that one moves indoors to the Five Wits taproom. Bookmark this page or follow @chattanoogasoccerfans for the call.
Every other match, in the Five Wits taproom
Beyond the games on the Barrelhouse screen, the Five Wits taproom stays open through the tournament — and any other World Cup match that kicks off while they’re open (another ~67 matches) goes up on the taproom screens. Just walk in, grab a beer and a taco, and catch the game.
Sound isn’t guaranteed in the taproom. Five Wits is a brewery and live-music room, so the taproom audio may be on whatever else is playing. For the full match commentary with the sound up, that’s the Barrelhouse-screen games listed above.
Taproom hours are 11 AM–10 PM Monday–Thursday and til 11 PM Friday–Sunday (weekends open earlier at 8 AM). Hours can change — check fivewitsbrewing.com before a late one.
Why watch it here
Barrelhouse Ballroom is a 600-capacity live-music and events hall with Five Wits Brewing built in — beer, tacos, and a room made to hold a crowd. For the marquee games, that big screen becomes the best seat in Chattanooga.
Big-Screen, Sound Up
Marquee games go up on the Barrelhouse screen with the match commentary on — the whole game on a wall-sized screen, the way the World Cup deserves to be watched.
Five Wits Brewing On-Site
Beer poured in-house by Five Wits Brewing, right where you’re watching. No running across town between kickoffs.
Tacos, Burgers & Beer
Five Wits runs the kitchen too — tacos, smash burgers, and brewery snacks on hand from the group stage through the final.
Built For A Crowd
Barrelhouse is a 600-capacity live-music hall by trade — a room built to hold a loud, packed house. Bring the noise; it can take it.
Southside, By The Choo Choo
1501 Long St in Chattanooga’s Southside, near the Choo Choo. Easy to find, easy to make a night of it.
All The Way To The Final
Knockout rounds, both semifinals, and the final — the whole back half of the bracket is on the Barrelhouse screen.
Three to circle on the calendar
The whole slate is on the big screen, but a few stand out. Plan around these.
Thu, June 11 — Opening Day
Mexico vs South Africa at 3 PM — the first game of the tournament, on the big screen to kick the whole thing off.
Sat, June 27 — Double-Header
Panama vs England at 5 PM, then Colombia vs Portugal at 7:30 PM. Two group-stage matches back to back — the centerpiece of the first round.
Sun, July 19 — The Final
Champion vs runner-up, 3 PM. The last game of the World Cup on the Barrelhouse screen — weather permitting, otherwise indoors in the taproom.
Common questions
Which matches are on the Barrelhouse screen?
Barrelhouse puts 24 games on the big screen with the sound up — group-stage headliners (including the June 27 double-header, Panama vs England then Colombia vs Portugal), plus the full knockout run: Round of 32, Round of 16, a quarterfinal, both semifinals, the third-place match and the final on July 19. The full list is above.
What does “weather permitting” mean for some games?
A handful of the screen games are planned for the open-air screen. If it rains, that match simply moves indoors to the Five Wits taproom — same venue, same beer and tacos, just a different room. We flag those on the calendar.
Can I catch the other matches at Five Wits?
Yes — beyond the Barrelhouse-screen games, the Five Wits taproom puts any other World Cup match that kicks off during open hours up on its screens. Just walk in. One caveat: sound isn’t guaranteed in the taproom — it’s a brewery and live-music room, so the audio may be on something else. The Barrelhouse-screen games are the ones with the match sound up.
Where is Barrelhouse Ballroom?
1501 Long St in Chattanooga’s Southside, near the Choo Choo. Five Wits Brewing operates on-site, so the beer and food are right where you’re watching.
Do I need a ticket, and is it all ages?
These are watch parties, not ticketed shows. Barrelhouse sets its own door and age policy per event (some nights run 18+ or 21+), so check barrelhouseballroom.com or their socials before you head out.
What’s there to eat and drink?
Five Wits Brewing runs the bar and the kitchen on-site — house-brewed beer plus tacos, smash burgers and more, from opening day through the final.
