Why Tailgate is the spot
Every line below is something Chattanooga fans literally asked for in our survey. Tailgate already has it.
Two Massive LED Screens
63% of our 112 signups said they want a sports bar with big screens. The double-decker patio has two. No other watch venue in Chattanooga has this setup outdoors — this is the room every soccer fan is looking for.
The Double-Decker Patio
65% want outdoor viewing — the single most-requested feature. The World Cup runs through summer. The patio runs into the evening. The city’s best outdoor watch, weather built-in.
30 Craft Beers On Draft
43% of signups want a brewery or taproom — one of the top venue types fans named. 30 taps including 5–6 Chattanooga-native styles from the 7-barrel brewhouse. The lineup most bars only wish they could put on a board.
The Pizza Kitchen
42% of fans want great food with the game. Pizza is the perfect 90-minute food — fast to fire, easy to share, no awkward fork-and-knife moment during a breakaway.
Market Street Location
35% of signups want Downtown, 21% want Southside — Tailgate is the walkable middle. Steps from the Choo Choo, hotels for visiting fans, easy parking. Every visiting supporter in town for an Atlanta game finds it first.
They Know How To Pack A Room
Tennessee Titans watch parties prove the playbook. Trivia every Thursday, Movie Night every Friday. The same operating manual that fills the patio every weekend — now pointed at the World Cup.

Every match during open hours
Every kickoff between 11 AM open and last call — the games that fit Tailgate’s regular schedule. Two are officially booked as watch parties (above) and the rest are on the screens whenever you stop by. Times in Eastern Time (ET).
Worth staying open late for
Marquee matches that tip just past normal close. Tailgate already stays open for Titans Sunday Night — a USA knockout night could land here too. If you want one of these on the patio, let us know.
What to expect on the patio
Tailgate’s existing programs — tap takeovers, themed pizzas, trivia night — pointed at the tournament. Specifics get announced closer to kickoff; the energy is already locked in.
USA Matchday Tailgates
The home team plays day games during your normal hours. Run it like a Titans Sunday: red-white-blue tap takeover, themed pizza (the All-American: pepperoni, jalapeños, Tennessee honey drizzle), American flags on the patio. The brand promise made literal.
World Cup Trivia Thursday
You already run Trivia Thursday at 6:30 PM. Lean it tournament-themed for five weeks of group stage — tournament history, local soccer lore, flag rounds, top-scorer guesses. Bracket-style leaderboard across the series, with a beer flight as the prize.
Classic Match Friday
Movie Night Friday becomes Classic Match Friday during the buildup — replays of 1986 Maradona, 2010 Iniesta, 2014 Götze. A pre-tournament programming hook that turns into a built-in audience for the real thing in June.
Country Tap Takeovers
Group stage means 32 storylines. Pick the most fun ones and theme a tap takeover around them — Belgian saisons for Belgium, dunkels for Germany, lagers for Mexico. 30 taps means you can do this without losing your regular lineup.
Country-Themed Pizza Specials
Pizza is the perfect 90-minute food. Mexican: chorizo + queso. Argentine fugazza: onions, mozzarella, no sauce. Spanish: jamón + manchego. One special per matchday, posted at noon, sold until the kitchen closes. Drives social posts on its own.
The Final, On The Rooftop
July 19. The upper deck. Both LED screens lit, every tap pouring, the biggest sporting event on Earth showing on Market Street. Reserve the upper deck for ticketed VIP or open it free — either way, this is the closing ceremony of your summer.
Common questions
Which matches are confirmed at Tailgate Brewery?
Two matches are locked in on the patio: Turkey vs USA on Thursday, June 25 (10 PM ET kickoff) and Uruguay vs Spain on Friday, June 26 (8 PM ET kickoff). Both are free to attend, no cover.
Where is Tailgate Brewery?
1464 Market St in Chattanooga’s Southside — walkable from the Choo Choo and Downtown hotels, with easy parking. The watch parties happen on the double-decker patio with two big LED screens.
Do I need a ticket or to RSVP?
No. Show up, claim a spot, order pizzas and beers, watch the game. For the biggest marquee matches it’s worth arriving early — the patio fills up fast.
What about the audio?
Sound is on. Survey-wise it’s the #1 thing fans want at a watch party — to actually hear the crowd and commentary, not just see the picture. For these match nights, commentary plays live.
Is it family-friendly?
Yes. Tailgate is family-friendly during regular hours. Kids welcome, jerseys welcome, vuvuzelas… maybe.
How long is each match?
Roughly 2 hours with halftime. Knockout rounds can stretch to 2.5 hours with extra time and penalties.
Who is Chattanooga Soccer Fans?
A grassroots community initiative connecting Chattanooga fans with local venues for the World Cup. Not a company — just fans trying to make this summer the best it can be. We curate the local watch list at chattanoogasoccerfans.com and have 112+ signups growing weekly. We don’t host watch parties ourselves; we send fans to venues that do.
