A watch party proposal for
Tailgate Brewery
× World Cup 2026
Big beer. Bigger screens. The world’s biggest stage — on the patio.
Presented by Chattanooga Soccer Fans
The Opportunity
The World Cup is the most-watched sporting event on Earth — 3.5 billion viewers in 2022. This summer it returns to the US for the first time in over 30 years, with Atlanta hosting 8 matches just two hours south of Chattanooga.
You opened a brewery called Tailgate. You built a double-decker patio with two massive LED screens. You already pack the place for Titans games. The biggest tailgate on Earth lands in Atlanta in June — and your taproom is the closest thing to a stadium gate Chattanooga has.
With your normal hours, 80 matches kick off between 11 AM open and last call — no schedule changes needed. Just turn the screens on, pour the beer, fire the pizza oven. The crowd is already looking for you.
Why Tailgate Is The Spot
Every line below is something Chattanooga fans literally asked for in our survey. You already have it.
Two Massive LED Screens
63% of our 112 signups said they want a sports bar with big screens. Tailgate’s double-decker patio has two. No other watch venue in Chattanooga has this setup outdoors. This is the room every soccer fan is looking for.
The Double-Decker Patio
65% want outdoor viewing — the single most-requested feature. The World Cup runs through summer. The patio runs into the evening. Match the window to the weather and you’ve got the city’s best outdoor watch.
30 Craft Beers On Draft
43% of signups want a brewery or taproom — one of the top venue types fans named. With 30 taps including 5–6 Chattanooga-native styles from your 7-barrel brewhouse, you’ve got the lineup most bars only wish they could put on a board.
The Pizza Kitchen
42% want great food with the game. Pizza is the perfect 90-minute food — fast to fire, easy to share, no awkward fork-and-knife moment during a breakaway. Country-themed pies during group stage write themselves.
Market Street Location
35% of signups want Downtown, 21% want Southside — you’re the walkable middle. Steps from the Choo Choo, hotels for visiting fans, easy parking. Every visiting supporter in town for an Atlanta game finds you first.
You Already Do This
Tennessee Titans watch parties prove the playbook. Trivia every Thursday, Movie Night every Friday — you know how to program a room. The World Cup is the same operating manual, with bigger upside per night.

Every Match During Your Open Hours
Every kickoff between 11 AM open and last call — the games that fit Tailgate’s regular schedule with no extra hours needed. Times shown in Eastern Time (ET).
Worth Staying Open Late For
These are the marquee matches that tip just past your normal close. You stayed open for Titans Sunday Night. The USA in a knockout? That’s the call.
Programming, Already In Your DNA
These aren’t new formats — they’re your existing programs, pointed at the tournament. Everything below is a tweak to something Tailgate already does.
USA Matchday Tailgates
The home team plays day games during your normal hours. Run it like a Titans Sunday: red-white-blue tap takeover, themed pizza (the All-American: pepperoni, jalapeños, Tennessee honey drizzle), American flags on the patio. The brand promise made literal.
World Cup Trivia Thursday
You already run Trivia Thursday at 6:30 PM. Lean it tournament-themed for five weeks of group stage — tournament history, local soccer lore, flag rounds, top-scorer guesses. Bracket-style leaderboard across the series, with a beer flight as the prize.
Classic Match Friday
Movie Night Friday becomes Classic Match Friday during the buildup — replays of 1986 Maradona, 2010 Iniesta, 2014 Götze. A pre-tournament programming hook that turns into a built-in audience for the real thing in June.
Country Tap Takeovers
Group stage means 32 storylines. Pick the most fun ones and theme a tap takeover around them — Belgian saisons for Belgium, dunkels for Germany, lagers for Mexico. 30 taps means you can do this without losing your regular lineup.
Country-Themed Pizza Specials
Pizza is the perfect 90-minute food. Mexican: chorizo + queso. Argentine fugazza: onions, mozzarella, no sauce. Spanish: jamón + manchego. One special per matchday, posted at noon, sold until the kitchen closes. Drives social posts on its own.
The Final, On The Rooftop
July 19. The upper deck. Both LED screens lit, every tap pouring, the biggest sporting event on Earth showing on Market Street. Reserve the upper deck for ticketed VIP or open it free — either way, this is the closing ceremony of your summer.
What’s In It For Tailgate
34 Days, Built-In Foot Traffic
34 match days, 38 of them on weekends or Fridays. That’s 34 reasons for fans to plan their day around your taproom — not as a stop, but as the destination.
The Beer Story Sells Itself
30 taps, 5–6 Chattanooga natives, full brewhouse on-site. Pair a Tailgate brew with a country playing that day and the social posts write themselves. “Brewed in Chattanooga, drunk in Chattanooga, for the world’s biggest event” — that’s a press hook.
Free Cross-Promotion
We feature Tailgate as an official watch party venue on our website, Instagram, and email list. You get exposure to every Chattanooga soccer fan on our list — at zero cost. We bring the fans; you bring the beer.
An Identity Reinforcement
Your brand is literally Tailgate. Hosting the world’s biggest tailgate-format event isn’t a stretch — it’s the brand promise made physical. Every visit during the tournament cements who you are.
Beyond The Tournament
The soccer audience is loyal. The fans who discover Tailgate this summer come back for Premier League Saturdays, Champions League nights, Chattanooga FC away days, and U.S. national team qualifiers through the fall.
Atlanta Visitor Spillover
Eight matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium pull international supporters into the region. Hotels are pricier in Atlanta than Chattanooga — fans WILL stay up here. You’re the closest tailgate-grade taproom they’ll find on Google.
Common Questions
Do we need to change our hours?
No. Your existing 11 AM open through 9 PM (10 PM Fri–Sat) covers 80 matches — the bulk of the group stage and the early knockout rounds. Late knockout games and any USA evening kickoff are the only spots where staying open later could be a judgment call — and we’d help you gauge demand before any of those.
Does this take over the patio or share it?
Both work. For a USA day game, dedicate the patio — flags, themed pours, the works. For a midday Group stage match, run it as ambient background on one screen, business-as-usual on the rest. You set the level per match. The schedule below is built to help you pick.
Audio is fans’ #1 concern — how do we handle it?
The survey data is loud on this: people want to hear the crowd and commentary, not just see the picture. For marquee matches, commentary on; for concurrent matches, the bigger-draw match takes audio while the other runs muted with subtitles on. Standard sports-bar protocol, but worth saying upfront because muted watch parties are the #1 complaint we’ve seen.
Does Tailgate invest anything?
No cost to partner with us. We promote you for free on our site, Instagram, and email list. Anything you invest on your side is standard programming cost — staffing, food cost for themed specials, any small A/V add-on — which your operation already knows how to spec for Titans days.
What kind of crowd should we expect?
Mixed and growing. Our 112 signups so far skew adult (kids welcome but not the majority), 66% English-preferring, 30% bilingual, 4% Spanish-first. Wide age range. The marquee draws (USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina) pull the biggest numbers; group-stage dark horses pull a smaller, dialed-in crowd that still fills tables.
How long is each match?
Roughly 2 hours with halftime. Knockout rounds can stretch to 2.5 hours with extra time and penalties — and that final 30 minutes is when the bar does its best numbers. Plan staffing for the full window, not just the kickoff.
Who is Chattanooga Soccer Fans?
A grassroots community initiative connecting Chattanooga fans with local venues for the World Cup. Not a company — just fans trying to make this summer the best it can be. We curate the local watch list, run chattanoogasoccerfans.com, and have 112+ signups growing weekly. We don’t host watch parties ourselves; we send fans to venues that do.
Let’s Light Up The Screens
You named the place Tailgate. The world’s biggest tailgate is coming to your backyard. We bring the fans; you bring the beer, the pizza, and the two screens nobody else in town has. Let’s build it.
