MLS Is Coming to Chattanooga
Chattanooga FC will host Atlanta United in the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Finley Stadium.
It is the first time a team from Chattanooga has hosted an MLS side in a competitive match.
How CFC Got Here
Chattanooga FC punched their ticket to the Round of 32 with a 1-0 win over Tennessee Tempo earlier this week. The draw was conducted on CBS Sports Golazo Network's "Morning Footy" show, with clubs sorted into eight geographic groups.
CFC's overall U.S. Open Cup record stands at 8W-7L-6D.
What's at Stake
The winner advances to the Round of 16 on April 28-29, where they would face the winner of Charlotte FC vs. Charlotte Independence.
The U.S. Open Cup is American soccer's oldest tournament — a single-elimination competition open to clubs from every level of the U.S. soccer pyramid. Lower-division teams hosting MLS opposition is what gives the tournament its magic, and Finley Stadium is about to be one of those stages.

All Round of 32 matches stream live on Paramount+, with select matches on CBS Sports Network or CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Why This Matters for the World Cup Summer
Chattanooga is two hours from Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which hosts eight World Cup matches this summer. The city is already home to Spain's World Cup base camp. Now the local club is hosting one of MLS's biggest names in a nationally broadcast knockout match.
This is a soccer city. April 15 is a chance to prove it — and a warm-up for the summer ahead.
